After the meeting between the representatives of drivers' union and Ola-Uber management on Tuesday failed, the strike which started on October 23  continues for the ninth day.  

The strike was kicked off under the label of Maharashtra Rajya Rashtriya Kamgar Sangh (MRRKS) demanding to increase the minimum fare for the cabs.

Earlier on Monday, MRRKS members had protested and carried out a march from Ola office in Chakala to the Uber office in Kurla. In order to resolve the issue, the drivers had also met NCP leader Sachin Ahir and Maharashtra Transport Minister Diwakar Raote.

The drivers’ union informed that the Ola management has accepted several of their demands and they have agreed to provide assurance for the same in written. However, the talks with Uber are still ongoing.
