On October 17, cab aggregator, Ola announced the launch of 'Ola Drive', which is a self-driving car-sharing service in Bengaluru. With this new service, Ola is all set to give the users a chance to design their own package. Users can customise their packages and have complete control over the number of kilometres and hours as well as whether they would want to fuel to be included or excluded from the package.

According to Ola, through this service, it will offer 30 per cent saving as compared to competitors. In the meantime, Ola intends to have a fleet of 20,000 cars by 2020.

Currently, the company has over 200 million subscribers, making Ola Drive the largest user base for a car-sharing service in the country.

All the Ola Drive cars will come equipped with the company's connected car platform Ola Play, which is enabled through a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and will include GPS, media playback and Bluetooth connectivity.

Users will also have access to a 24x7 helpline, an emergency button that will prompt an immediate call from Ola's dedicated Safety Response team, and real-time tracking. The service will offer roadside assistance as well for a hassle-free experience.
