Mumbai - MMRDA seems to be in a hurry to construct the second phase of Monorail that they are overlooking weak pillars of the first phase. There are 40-45 pillars on the IMAX road and few of those pillar’s base had gone weak. Repair work was done which created cracks on the road. Due to these cracks, 4-5 accidents are taking on a daily basis.
Mono Rail’s second phase will run from Wadala Depot to Jacob Circle which includes Wadala Depot, GTB Nagar, Antop Hill, Acharya Atre Nagar, Wadala Bridge, Dadar East, Naigaon, Ambedkar Nagar, Mint colony, Lower Parel. Currently, a test run is being done on an hourly basis with 15kms of speed.
