The State Transport (ST) Corporation's new Hirkani service has started on the prestigious 'Swargate - Mantralaya' route from Monday. Two new Hirkani services in the Pune section have started running on the 'Swargate - Mantralaya' route. Therefore, the employees and officers of the Ministry have got the benefit of the new Hirkani bus service.
The Hirkani bus in the ST fleet was in a state of disrepair. So many passengers stopped using the ST bus. After that, the ST Corporation decided to manufacture self-made hirkani buses. A total of 200 new Hirkani buses are being manufactured at ST Corporation's central workshop at Dapodi, Pune. At present, a new Hirkani bus has entered the fleet of Raigad, Pune division.
Two Hirkani buses in Pune division have started running on the 'Swargate - Mantralaya' route from Monday. Hirkani bus will leave Swargate at 5:45 am and will reach Mantralaya by 9 or 9:30 am. Later, the bus will arrive at Mumbai Central depot between 10:00 am and will depart for Swargate from there, informed a senior official of ST.
