Indian Railways is hiring! 9,719 posts to be filled; 4,517 seats reserved for female candidates

People who are interested to work for the position of sub-inspectors(SI) in Railway Protection Force (RPF) of various zones of Indian Railways and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) can submit their applications between June 1, 2018, and June 30, 2018, which is applicable for both male and female candidates.

The Indian Railways is hiring for 9,719 posts of which 4,517 seats have been reserved for women applicants. Railway officials have made it clear that the candidates must apply online through the official website of the same.

Currently, there are more than 60,000 RPF personnel appointed in 17 different departments. However, in comparison to the passengers travelling in long-distance trains, RPF personnel are less in numbers. Considering this, the Indian Railways decided to recruit more RPF personnel.

• Male- 4,403
• Female- 2,216

Sub-inspector posts

• Sub-inspector- 1,120 (total)
• Male- 819
• Female- 301
