This is Why Express Trains might be running late on December 27 and 28

There is repair work scheduled on Konkan Railway's Adavali railway station on December 27 and 28. The repair work is scheduled to be carried out at midnight. Due to this, the express trains on Central Railway will be running late on the above-mentioned dates. The delay will pose an issue for the Konkan Railway passengers as the trains may run 25-30 minutes late.

• Madgaon-Ratnagiri Passenger Express
• Ernakulam Nizamuddin Mangala Express
• Kochuvali-Indore Express
• Gandhidham-Nagarcoil Express
• Kochuvali-Dehradun Express

A lot of people travel during this time (end of the year) to Konkan. These commuters can be adversely affected due to this maintenance work as their trains will be running later than the scheduled time and could be over-crowded.  This may even result in some passengers not being able to make it to Konkan at all.
