The Indian Railways has decided to provide new facilities to its passengers. The Railways has planned to recycle its old coaches to create a state-of-the-art restaurant, laden with vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare and will welcome patrons in the month of October.

This ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ called Bogie Wogie, will come up in the vicinity of the CSMT. According to reports, the interiors of the first restaurant are 70 per cent done and will be located in the non-ticketing area.

This will be available at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station of Central Railway. Moreover, this new concept of 'Restaurant on Wheels' will be implemented outside platform number 18 at CSMT station.

Meanwhile, back in January, a tender was issued to provide such a facility in a railway carriage and after handing over the work to a company, a number of works are being carried out for the construction of the restaurant, including changes in the internal structure of the carriage and painting. The work is being expedited and will come into service by the end of October. The coach is air-conditioned and can seat up to 40 people. In addition, this is touted to cost the contractor INR 28 to 30 lakh.

Many people reach outside CSMT's platform No. 18 by private vehicle and enter to catch Mail-Express trains. Also, there are many passengers who take a taxi or private vehicle even after exiting platform number 18. There is also a car park. Therefore, it can be very useful to have a restaurant.
