Alert RPF saves idli vendor's life at Parel

SHARES

Commuters on Parel railway station were stunned to witness an incident at 8.50 am on 12 April, in which a man trying to board a moving local train, slipped and had a miraculous escape.

30 year old Vinod Laxman Chandanshive, an idli seller at the station, slipped on the chutney that dribbled from the package he was carrying and could have been sucked into the gap between the train and the platform.

Chandanshive was running to catch the train when the packet of chutney spilt. He slipped on it as he was about to get down from the train but was saved by the RPF deployed on that platform.
