Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) brings a sigh of relief for the people looking for employment in the drought-prone areas.
The corporation (ST) recently announced a mega recruitment drive of a total of 4,416 posts, which is believed to bring a great comfort for the unemployed youth in many drought-hit areas in the state. As per the announcement made on Monday, the applications will be open for the position of drivers and conductors, and the advertisement for the same will be published in a total of 12 districts, which include Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, Pune, and Solapur.
To qualify for the position, applicants should have compulsorily passed Standard 10, have an authorized license to drive a heavy vehicle and have at least three years of experience for driving a heavy vehicle. They will also have to produce their RTO documents and the badge.
With this requirement in place, the ST Corporation also becomes the first organization in the state to advertise with Maratha reservation and 10% Savarn reservation announced by the Central Government.
Candidates who meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can apply for the positions. The advertisement and applications will also be available on the official website and www.msrtcexam.in from January 18, 2019.
