The Regional Transport Office of Mumbai (Central), through a press release, has informed the citizens that to book slots for the driving licence test, they should submit an online application at http://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in. 

The submission should take place at 10 AM.

Slot booking for the Permanent Licence Test can be made up to a maximum of 90 days at the Regional Transport Office, Mumbai (Central).

The release also stated that the computer accepts the form submitted online under the specified quota for Permanent Licence Test on the site mentioned above.

As soon as the quota is filled, online booking will be closed from the next day. 

While filling the application form, the candidate must upload all the required documents. If needed, they must upload the photo and signature. After the payment of fees is done, they should check and verify the payment status.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, this year in June, inaugurated a system in which people can take online learner’s licence tests. They can do it by using an Aadhaar-based authentication mechanism. This inauguration took place under the updated Sarathi 4.0 program.

While talking to the media, officials had said that before applying for the test, the candidates must watch the videos online on road safety. Only then will they be eligible to apply online. 

Those who will successfully answer 60 per cent of questions correctly were asked to print the learner’s licence independently.
