After the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) revised its prices in July this year with the minimum tickets now costing just ₹5, the BEST is reeling under the surplus of change. BEST has recently issued a statement stating that if anyone needs coins and notes of one, two, five, ten and twenty denomination, they can collect it from the nearest bus depots exchanging with higher denomination notes.

Notably, the revised fares have now attracted over 10 lakh passengers to its fleet. It will further introduce an app which will enable the commuters to now check real-time traffic updates and bus location.
Meanwhile, to stem the flow of change, the BEST has begun appealing to citizens to use its ‘Riddler app’ to buy tickets and renew bus passes.
