Country's second private passenger train to run between Mumbai-Ahmedabad on January 17

The dates for booking tickets for the luxurious train will be announced soon by IRCTC. The first-ever private train, i.e. Tejas Express ran between Delhi and Lucknow.

The country's second private train is all set to commence its maiden journey. Tejas Express will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from January 17. While the train will commence its first journey on January 17, its regular journeys will begin from January 19.

The dates for booking tickets for the luxurious train will be announced soon by IRCTC. The first-ever private train, i.e. Tejas Express ran between Delhi and Lucknow.

The approval to run the train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad was given by Railways' Board on December 20, post which, the announcement about the first journey was made. The train will consist of train hostess' along with ticket checking staff.

The train will leave Mumbai Central Railway Station at 3:40 pm and is scheduled to reach Ahmedabad Railway Station at 9:55 pm. Subsequently, the train will leave from Ahmedabad Railway Station at 6:40 am and reach Mumbai Central Railway Station at 1:10 pm. The train will have halts at Baroda and Surat.

According to the reports, the chair car seat will cost ₹1,200 to a passenger whereas the executive chair car seat will cost ₹2,100.
