A metro station in Malad will now be known as Motilal Oswal Malad West Metro Station. Motilal Oswal Financial Services has acquired the station branding rights of the metro station from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). This station has been given this name through Public Private Partnership.

Motilal Oswal, Group MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, said that this is a historic moment for the organisation as it is the company's first initiative to acquire station branding rights in Mumbai. This metro station falls in the Metro 2A corridor. The company has acquired the branding rights from MMRDA for five years; in return MMRDA will get a revenue of INR 15.25 crore.

In exchange for the name, the company will provide various facilities at the metro station. Mumbai Police Joint Commissioner Satyanarayana Chaudhary and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actor Shailesh Lodha along with IAS Officer Parag Jain were present at the renaming ceremony.
