Finally the bridge that connected Mumbai and Thane, the Versova Bridge has been finally opened for public use. This bridge had been closed for the past 4 days owing to the repair work going on it. Being quite old, this bridge had started developing cracks; hence the repairs for this bridge had become quite imperative.
As a matter of fact, this bridge was closed for the transportation of heavy vehicles during October 2016 and was completely closed for public transport since 14 May. After the repairing, the bridge has been finally opened today on Thursday; however, you will have to ensure that the speed of your vehicle does not exceed 20 kmph.
