Owing to the protests by Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) against NRC and the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) at Dadar TT junction around noon today (December 26), Mumbai Traffic Police has announced several diversions for traffic towards South Mumbai from 6 am till midnight.
One of the most crucial routes in the city, Tilak Bridge, which is the flyover that connects Dadar East with West, will remain closed all day for any type of vehicular activity coming from Dadar East and going towards Dadar West and Worli.
According to the reports, police have estimated participation of more than 5,000 protestors who will be hitting the streets to voice their opposition against CAA-NRC. Previously, Mumbaikars had protested against CAA-NRC at August Kranti Ground, Dharavi along with various parts of the city.
Mumbai Police also issued an advisory about the same. Here is how the vehicular traffic will function today:
