On Sunday, March 7, the suburban train services will be affected on Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway's main line and Harbour lines.

Mega Block

Main Line -- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vidyavihar Up and down slow lines will be disrupted from 10.55 am to 3.55 pm.

The down slow services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.48 am to 3.36 pm will be diverted on down fast line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vidyavihar stations, skipping the halt at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, Curry Road, Vidyavihar and further rediverted on down slow line proper.

While the up slow services leaving Ghatkopar from 10.40 am to 3.52 pm will be diverted on Up fast line between Vidyavihar and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus skipping halt at Vidyavihar, Currey Road, Chinchpokli, Sandhurst Road and Masjid.

Services will not be available at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, Curry Road and Vidyavihar during the block period.

Harbour Line -- Kurla - Vashi Up and down harbour lines will be affected from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm.

Down Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.34 am to 3.39 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.21 am to 3.41 pm will remain suspended.

However, special services will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Kurla and Vashi-Panvel sections during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Trans Harbour line from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm during block period.

These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

Traffic and Power Block on WR

Some trains on Western line will be regulated, while some remain cancelled due to a major traffic and power block from 01.10 hrs to 4.45 hrs in the intervening night of March 6 and 7 for launching girders of MCGM Foot Over Bridge (FOB) near Mahim station.

According to a press release issued by WR chief PRO Sumit Thakur, here are the details of trains regulated / cancelled:

Special Passenger Trains

Train no 02946 Okha – Mumbai Central Special will be regulated by 15 minutes at Andheri station and will reach Mumbai Central station 10-15 minutes late.

Train no. 02904 Amritsar – Mumbai Central Special will be regulated by 10 minutes at Borivali station and will reach Mumbai Central station 10-15 minutes late.

Local Trains

Churchgate – Borivali local departing from Churchgate at 01.00 hrs will remain cancelled.

Borivali – Churchgate local departing from Borivali at 3.50 hrs will remain cancelled.

Andheri– Churchgate local will depart from Andhri at 4.25 hrs instead of its scheduled departure at 4.04 hrs after the block and will arrive at Churchgate at 5.02 hrs. This local will run as fast local instead of slow local.

The last local in down direction in the night will depart from Churchgate at 00.50 hrs on 7th March, 2021 and will reach at 02.30 hrs at Virar station.
