WR recovers whopping 6.70 crores in fine

Mumbai - The Western Railways has recovered Rs. 6.70 crore in fines from ticketless commuters, ticket brokers, and, hawkers in Mumbai. 1.76 lakh cases were filed in regard with this. 148 cases of without ticket travellers have been filed during this month. 1023 derelicts and hawkers were kicked out of the railway platform. 106 people have been sent to prison. During the year 2016, 156 school going kids above - 12 years were caught travelling inside the ladies coach. 205 cases were filed in regard to anti-social elements, tickets brokers and much more. 160 of them have been booked for breaking railway rules.
