Author Joseph Rodarick Law had recently launched his debut book 'Authentic Power and Greatness' at Bombay Stock Exchange with BSE CEO Ashish Chauhan. He has always been vocal about how he is fascinated with Indian culture and philosophy.

Talking about visiting sacred places, he said, "From Dharmashala's in the extreme North to all the way down to Rameshwaram temple, I have visited many of them. I have even been to Jyotilinga's in Varanasi to Bodhi Gaya. I have read Bhagwad Gita and the Ramayan extensively."

Sharing a thought on what he has concluded from these texts, he added, "These texts were very practical as compared to their times and strikes the perfect balance between spirituality and practicality. The best part for me was when Krishna was telling Arjun that if you're overly attached to something you're going to have a lot of stress, lot of anxiety. That's when he explains about attachment and detachment. The best part of Ramayan was when Ram forgave his stepmother even though he had to face 14 years of exile because of her. Nowadays, we hardly talk about forgiveness."

Addressing the media about his non-profit initiative J.C. Happiness Charity Foundation, he said,  "JC Happiness works with The Fred Hollows Foundation in Hong Kong, to help raise funds and increase awareness, and assist in the education and treatment of avoidable blindness. Due to lack of awareness, underprivileged people think that they're blind whereas it is something as simple as cataract. I just started that as I want to help millions of people, especially people in India. If they did not have the awareness, for the rest of their lives they would have presumed that they were blind. We are now moving on to education and poverty reduction. In education, I want to start with books as we are taught what to think and not how to think. The latter is more important than the former and the education system these days just focuses on IQ more than EQ."

With the foreword written by best selling author Jack Canfield, Authentic Power and Greatness by Joseph Rodarick Law is perfect beginners guide for readers interested in the genre of self-help before delving into the contemporaries like Paulo Coelho, Dale Carnegie or Rhonda Byrne series.
