Open Art Gallery to reopen in Kala Ghoda by November 19

A year ago, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray in association with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had started the open art gallery at Kala Ghoda but received a poor response after which it was kept open for public. However, now, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) will be joining the BMC and will reopen the art gallery with fresh ideas and promotion techniques.

Additional commissioner Abasaheb Jarhad added that the art gallery will reopen by November 19 and the same will be promoted by the BMC and MTDC through their websites and advertisements. Also, the gallery will remain open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm only on Sundays.

Jarhad said that a nominal fee will be charged for performers for a security purpose. In total there will be 20 boxes where an artist will be able to showcase their art.

On October 26, 2016, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray inaugurated the open art gallery on a 250-meter long stretch on Kaikashru Dubash Marg at Kala Ghoda. The initiative was taken to provide a platform for budding artists.
