Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut sparked yet another controversy accusing Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut of threatening her and comparing Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
In an editorial published in ‘Saamana’, Raut asked Kangana Ranaut not to travel back to Mumbai for “insulting” the city’s Police. The Shiv Sena leader said that the remarks made by the actress were shameful.
“We request Kangana Ranaut not to come back to Mumbai. Despite making a living in Mumbai, she has insulted the Mumbai Police. Her treachery was shameful,” Raut said.
Raut’s statement came after Kangana said that she feels more afraid of Mumbai Police than the ‘movie mafia’ goons. She said that she would require security either from Himachal Pradesh government or directly from the centre but not Mumbai Police to expose the ‘drug mafia’ in Bollywood.
Reacting to Raut’s remarks that she shouldn’t come back to Mumbai, Kangana accused the Shiv Sena leader of giving her an open threat. She also compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
“Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir? (sic),” Kangana tweeted.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Kadam jumped in and targeted Raut. He said that Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has resorted to selfish pressure tactics on Mumbai police denying justice to Sushant Singh Rajput. “Kangana Ranaut is Jhansi ki Rani and won’t be affected by such hollow threats,” he added.
Congress leader Sachin Sawant condemned Ranaut’s statement comparing Mumbai with POK. He also slammed Kadam for comparing the Bollywood actress with Jhansi ki Rani.
