Shoots and the process of filming were put to halt, for a few months, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown. The outbreak of the deadly virus disrupted several schedules, which led to the delay of many films and shows. However, after many months, the work has resumed slowly, in the film industry.

On Thursday, August 6, 2020, the team of Pooja Entertainment's Bellbottom, left for the UK to begin the shoot. This is the first Indian film to be shot abroad during the lockdown. The cast and crew members of the film - Akshay Kumar, producers Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Lara Datta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor - were seen at the airport following all guidelines with masks and shields. 

Producer Jackky Bhagnani took to Instagram to share the excitement with a message 'Here we goo!!' Deepika Deshmukh also shared, 'Always safety first' with the image


Bellbottom's shoot is a start-to-finish schedule for the film and the cast and crew will be practising all guidelines. A special care package with a hi-tech wristband, masks, shields, gloves, and sanitizers has been given to each member of the cast and crew. The team will also be quarantined as per protocol before the shoot starts.
