A news broke out today in the afternoon about ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam being admitted to Apollo hospital after complaining of chest pain.

However, the spokesperson from Apollo Hospital has confirmed that the producer was there for a check-up. "He had come to the hospital for a check-up. His condition is fine. He has not been admitted," said the hospital official.

Mani Ratnam survived a heart attack in the year 2004 when he was filming popular Bollywood movie Yuva, which is the Hindi version of Aayutha Ezhuthu. Also in the year 2009 and 2015, Ratnam had complained about chest pain but eventually recovered from it.

Currently, Mani Ratnam wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
