Director Tulsi Ramsay passed away on December 13, 2018, at the age of 74 after suffering from a prolonged illness.
Govind Yadav, who had been Tulsi Ramsay’s associate quoted Indian Express, “Tulsiji passed away on Thursday evening. His funeral will happen today around 2 pm. He was living in Goregaon, Mumbai. He was not keeping well from some time now.”
Tulsi Ramsay directed several movies during the 80s and the 90s like Purana Mandir, Veerana and Bandh Darwaza. He was also known for the horror genre TV series, Zee Horror Show in early ‘90s.
Ramsay Brothers’ came to fame with Do Gaz Zameen Ke Neeche, which was apparently completely shot in just 40 days on an estimated budget of just Rs 3.5 lakh. The film ran in packed theatres and reportedly earned Rs 45 lakh.
