A tweet from All India Radio (@AkashvaniAIR) confirmed the news about Kader Khan demise. He was admitted to a hospital in Canada after reporting breathlessness

Update: Veteran actor Kader Khan's son Sarfaraz Khan dismissed media reports of the actor's demise. 

All India Radio (@AkashvaniAIR), via the Twitter account, earlier confirmed Veteran Bollywood actor Kadar Khan's demiseA few days back, there were reports in the media regarding his illness.  However,  it is being said that he is still in the hospital and in good health.

It is said that he was admitted to a hospital in Canada for treatment related to breathing issues and due to the serious condition, doctors had transferred him to a BiPAP ventilator from a regular ventilator. His son Sarfaraz and his daughter-in-law are by his side.

Further, many along with Bollywood's Big B Amitabh Bachchan prayed for his health and well-being. His tweet last week read, "Kader Khan, actor-writer of immense talent, lies ill in hospital. Prayers and duas for his well-being and recovery. Saw him perform on stage, welcomed him and his prolific writing for my films, great company, a Libran and many not know, taught Mathematics."

The Afghan-born Indian-Canadian started his career with Rajesh Khanna in Daag and was also a part of more than 300 Bollywood films. He was loved for many roles he had delivered, especially for films like Hum, Saajan Chale Sasural, Dulhe Raja, Coolie No. 1 and many others. Owing to his excellent career, he was awarded the Sahitya Shiromani Award in 2013. The American Federation of Muslims from India (AFMI) also recognised and felicitated him for his service to the Muslim community in India.

Besides being an actor, he was also a screenwriter for many films.  Prior to becoming an actor, he was a professor of Civil Engineering at a college in Mumbai.
