On February 2, international pop sensation Rihanna tweeted about the Internet restrictions during the farmers' protest in Delhi. Reacting to a news piece, she wrote: "Why aren't we talking about this? #FarmersProtest."
Soon after Rihanna's Tweet, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut quote retweeted the same and in her reply, called her a fool and a dummy. Kangana also said the protesting farmers were terrorists.
Kangana wrote: "No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA... Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies."

Kangana Ranaut has also been continuously tweeting about the farmer movement. Kangana in her tweet has targeted many people like actors Daljit Dosanjh, Priyanka Chopra and Swara Bhaskar for supporting the farmer's movement.
Moreover, Rihanna often reacts to many social and political issues. On Tuesday, she tweeted about the coup in Myanmar and wrote, “Myanmar my prayers are with you.”
Significantly, the farmers' movement has been going on the borders of Delhi for the last 70 days regarding the Kisan Bill issued by the Central Government.
In January, more than 300 policemen were injured in violent clashes between farmers and police, while many farmers have also died in this movement.
In protest against this bill, farmers’ organizations have announced a three-hour nationwide check-out on February 6, 2020.
