After making a mark with family drama and romance, Karan Johar and his team at Dharma Productions are all set to step into horror films, a new genre of movies, for the production house.
The man behind the banner, Karan, took to Twitter to announce the same with a message stating that "Dharma Productions is anchoring a new franchise of fear. November 15, 2019." The caption with the poster read "Film announcement on Monday! Stay tuned! Apoorva Mehta18, Shashank Khaitan Dharma Movies."

Over the last decade or more, the banner has been known for films like My Name Is Khan, Student of the Year, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Kapoor & Sons, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raazi, Dhadak, Kalank and many more.
The team is currently working on Sher Shah and a fantasy adventure, Brahmastra, which will release in 2020.
