Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju has released with a bang at the box office!
The film has received a storming response at the theatres on the opening day itself. The film witnessed a massive opening exceeding the first day collections of all the recently released movies like Race 3, Baaghi 2, Padmaavat and Veere Di Wedding. As per popular film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh Sanju’s opening day collection is ₹34.74 crore.
The trade analyst took to his twitter platform and tweeted, “Non-holiday... Non-festival release... Yet, #Sanju packs a PHENOMENAL TOTAL on Day 1... Emerges the BIGGEST OPENER of 2018 [so far]... Also, Ranbir's HIGHEST OPENER to date... Expected to cross ₹ 100 cr in 3 days, as per trends... Fri ₹ 34.75 cr. India biz.”

Salman Khan's Race 3, which was on the top in the list of highest opening day grosser till the last week. However, it has now been replaced by Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. With Race 3 on the second place on the list now, Baaghi 2, Padmaavat and Veere Di Wedding are the other films on the list.
