Consumption of content on digital media is at its peak. Youngsters today are interested in watching engaging and intriguing content on the internet and with many OTT platforms investing in bringing the international shows on one platform, this sector is at an all-time rise.

Many Bollywood celebrities have shown interest in either being a part of a digital show or a short film for the internet. Celebrities like Rajkummar Rao, Saif Ali Khan, Richa Chadha, Nimrat Kaur, Vivek Oberoi and many others have either played their cards and aced the game, or are planning to be a part of it soon. With production houses showing interests in making content for these platforms, actors too have now kept their options open.

As per the recent tweet by Shah Rukh Khan owned Red Chillies, the production house will now venture into digital shows soon. The first original series will be based on Bilal Siddiqi's book "The Bard of Blood. The multilingual thriller will be made in partnership with Netflix. 

Red chillies entertainment shared the information on a tweet, posted on November 17 that read “Our first Original Series, in partnership with @netflix, is a multilingual thriller, based on @BilalS158’s book ‘The Bard of Blood’. @iamsrk @reedhastings @VenkyMysore @_GauravVerma@NetflixIndia

No further information about the same has been shared. However, this brings many questions to the forefront. Is Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan too a part of the show as an actor? Hope, the answer to this is ‘Yes,’ but no affirmation about the same can be given at this moment.

Talking about the book, Bilal Siddiqi’s The Bard of Blood is a suspense thriller published in 2015 written with inputs and assistance from war correspondents, Indian and American intelligence agents.

The overview on publisher Penguin India reads, “The Valiant never taste of death but Once.
