On Monday, a case has been filed against the makers of the upcoming movie 'Satyamev Jayate' starring John Abraham for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the Shia community.

The complaint was filed by Syed Ali Jaffary who has alleged that there is a scene in the trailer which is objectionable and hurts the religious sentiments of the Shia community by insulting the religion and religious beliefs, police said.

The case is filed at the Dabeerpura police station in Hyderabad. It is registered against Emmy Entertainments and other producers under IPC section 295A, which is deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings and relevant sections of the Cinematograph Act.

The movie is all set to hit the theatres for release on August 15.
