On being asked if this was a remake of a South movie, Sunny denied and said that this wasn't a remake, but the film was different and very interesting with a lot of action, suspense and thriller. Addressing more about the character, he said that he is also playing something very different from his films so far.
Lately, he has been receiving offers for many projects and finally, he decided to sign this film. It is also said that the film is currently in the pre-production stage and the team will start shooting by April 2020.
Sunny was last seen in Ghayal Once Again in 2016, post which he decided to launch his son Karan Deol with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which released in 2019. He joined politics and won the seat for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) party in April 2019 from Gurdaspur constituency defeating Sunil Jakhar of Indian National Congress.
