.Describe your 'lockdown' period in just 'one' word...

  • Family-time

What do you enjoy the most about this period - something you will cherish the most!

  • I am getting a lot of time to do so many things that I wasn’t able to fulfill earlier due to my hectic schedule. I am watching a lot of films and series, reading a lot of books, listening to new music, spending some quality time with my family, getting in touch with old friends through phone and video calls talking about the bygone days. I am glad to able to do all these activities which I wanted to do for a long time.

What new hobbies have you started in this period?

  • I am doing a lot of new and exciting things such as learning to cook, something I wished to learn for a long time, and also taking part in household activities. Apart from these, I was never really an avid reader, but now I have started to read a lot. These are some of the new hobbies that I have picked up recently.

Three films/web series/content pieces you've loved watching?

  • Films
    • Parasite
    • Super Deluxe
    • Won’t You Be My Neighbor
  • Web series
    • When They See Us,
    • Unbelievable
    • Fleabag.

What do you miss eating or drinking the most?

As soon as the lockdown is over, I am definitely going to grab a bite of all the three.

  • Vada pav
  • Bun samosa
  • Paani puri.

Three friends, you miss spending time with...

  • Adesh, co-director of Tumbbad
  • My business partner, Prashant, who conducts a lot of acting workshops with me
  • Jewel, who is a doctor.

What's the one skill you did not know you had?

  • Cooking. I never thought that I could cook, and I am trying to explore it these days. Tea and Maggi were the only things I could make, but now I am trying to learn to cook Moong dal chilla, pakoda, parantha, and a lot of other stuff. Hopefully, I’ll be a better cook when the lockdown is over.

Three places you'll rush to, right after the lockdown is over...

  • I want to go to shoot
  • Gym
  • Hang out

What is the most annoying thing you've observed during this period?

  • The most annoying thing is that people are dying every day due to COVID 19 but more unfortunately due to starvation as a result of the lockdown. A lot of people are suffering especially the poor and migrant daily workers who are walking towards their villages that are 200-300 kilometers away. It is very disturbing to see their condition on the news as if the entire world has come to a standstill and we are not able to do anything about it. There is yet no absolute cure or vaccine to fight against this deadly pandemic. I sincerely pray that we overcome this disaster at the earliest and get back to our normal lives.

What has the lockdown helped you change or realise - emotionally or mentally?

  • I feel like time has stopped which allows me to self-reflect both emotionally and mentally. It gives me time to think about my life, things that I am doing and somewhere down the line, it has also given me a sense of understanding that nature wants to communicate a message to all of us to cherish the beauty of life that we seem to ignore amidst our busy life. I hope that this lockdown will help people to remain calm, content, and away from the rat-race. I am observing these changes within me, which is helping me to do a bit of self-introspect.
