Just a month after she recovered from the COVID-19, actress Shikha Malhotra has been admitted to hospital after suffering a major stroke. The right side of the actress' body has been badly impacted and she is admitted to Juhu's Cooper Hospital.

Shikha suffered a paralysis stroke late on December 10 and has been admitted to the hospital. She is unable to talk and is currently undergoing treatment, revealed her manager.

The actress, who is also a nursing degree holder, had voluntarily nursed coronavirus patients for six months starting from the lockdown and contracted the virus herself in October, this year. Later, she was off from nursing for a while.

The actor, who has featured in films like Taapsee Pannu starrer Running Shaadi and Kaanchli, was discharged from hospital on October 22, but her blood sugar dip and due to the same she had to be admitted in the hospital again.

The actress, who is in her late 20s, had gone to her home in Delhi for Diwali and was complaining of not feeling well since her return. On December 10, around 10.30 pm, her right side of the body started to pain.

"We first took her to Kokilaben hospital where we were told she had a paralysis stroke. We got her admitted to Cooper Hospital later," actor’s PR manager Ashwani Shukla told PTI.

Shukla said the doctors have done her CT scan and said she would take at least eight-ten days to recover.

The actress, who had shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in "Fan" kept sharing updates on her health on Instagram during her illness and even informed netizens after her recovery.
