Vidya Balan to be a part of Amit Masurkar's 'Sherni'

After delivering impressive performances over the years, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will soon be seen in Amit Masurkar's upcoming film 'Sherni.' The makers of the film, T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, took to social media to make the announcement about 'Sherni' which is written by Aastha Tiku.

Vidya also shared the news on Instagram with a message that read, “Thrilled to announce my next film - #SHERNI ... Cannot wait to start shoot! Directed by: #AmitMasurkar Produced by: @BhushanKumar @ivikramix #KrishanKumar & #AmitMasurkar Written by: @aasthatiku Watch this space for more!”

This is the first time Vidya and Amit will be collaborating for a film, but both have been successful in their respective careers with popular films on the list. Vidya was last seen in Mission Mangal where she played a scientist. She will soon be seen as the genius Shakuntala Devi in the biopic.

Amit had directed the critically-acclaimed film Newton which starred Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.
