Zoya Akhtar recent release Gully Boy is all set to make a mark at the Box Office.

As per reports, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer film has made a total of ₹72.45 cr at the Box Office within its first weekend, and is all set to cross 100cr soon.

The film which released on Thursday because of Valentines Day has received a lot of love and appreciation from both the critics and fans. The film had a grand Box office opening of ₹19.40 cr and over the weekend collected ₹21.30 Cr on the first Sunday.


Inspired from the slum rappers of Dharavi, Gully Boy has gone ahead to create immense buzz amongst the masses. The trailer, the music and now the early reviews post its screening at the Berlin Film Festival has created a lot of anticipation for this film. This film adds another star to Zoya Akhtar's portfolio who has always focused with quality films like Luck By Chance, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do, and once again she is all set to rule the box office with Gully Boy. 

The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby.
