State-owned oil companies have hiked domestic LPG cylinder prices on September 1. In Delhi, 19 kg of commercial gas costs Rs 1,693. The price of a commercial gas cylinder is Rs 1,772 in Kolkata, Rs 1,649 in Mumbai and Rs 1,831 in Chennai.

In Delhi, the price of 14.2kg unsubsidized gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 25. At present, a 14.2kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 884.50 in Delhi. The price of a 19kg commercial gas cylinder has also been increased by Rs 75.

Earlier, on August 17, the price of an LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 25. In other words, an unsubsidized cylinder has gone up by Rs 50 in 15 days.

This year, on January 1, the price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 694. Now the price of a cylinder is Rs 884.5. Meaning, the price of a domestic gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 190.50 since January.

In the last seven years, the price of a domestic gas cylinder (14.2 kg) has doubled to Rs 884.50 per cylinder. On March 1, 2014, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder was Rs 410.5 which is now Rs 884.50.
