Jailed NCP leader and former deputy chief minister, Chhagan Bhujbal, has written a letter to state’s cooperative and marketing minister Subhash Deshmukh demanding him to provide funds to the Nashik district cooperative bank for immediate disbursal of loans to farmers as the number of farmers committing suicide in the district has increased.

The Kharif crop season may get badly hit in the district if farmers are not provided loans by the bank and hence the DCC Bank should immediately be provided with the financial assistance from the State government, said Bhujbal in his letter.
