Indian Premier League kick started a decade ago. In the year 2008, the league flagged off with the mix of cricket and entertainment. A decade has been passed, this year IPL is celebrating the 10th anniversary. Dus Saal Aapke Naam, but for people residing near Wankhede stadium they have to undergo loads of problem which are as follows –
2008 – Problems due to hawkers
2009 – Marine Line residents discussed all the problems they faced with IPL authorities
2010 – Police security and Mumbai Cricket Association ensured residents that problem will be resolved
2011 – Residents demanded car parking and valet system
2012 – Make way for ambulance for easy transportation of suffering residents
2013 – Problem of Valet Parking was resolved
2014 – Meeting between IPL allies and Marine Drive Resident Association
2015 – Initiative to keep the premises clean and tidy
2016 – Methods to move hawkers out from the city
2017 – This year finally residents are not facing any problem
Through the aid of Advanced Locality Management (ALM), Marine Lines residents did fight the odds and are finally heaving a sigh of relief.
