Mumbai: 10th student commits suicide fearing failure

A 15-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself at home in Chembur area on Thursday. It is believed that he committed suicide fearing that he will fail SSC exam. The Chembur police have registered a case of accidental death and have started an investigation.

The boy's name is Aniket Thombe (15) and he lived in Vijay Nagar area of Chembur. As the 10th exam is going on now, Aniket found some papers difficult. So he was afraid of failure. As a result, he was under stress for a few days. On Thursday night when his mother had gone out, Aniket committed suicide by hanging himself in the house. After some time when his mother returned home, she found the house locked from inside. She called out to Aniket, but he did not respond.

Finally, with the help of neighbours, the door was broken. Aniket was found hanged in the house. As soon as the information about the incident came to light, the Chembur police registered a case of accidental death and began an investigation.
