After a two-year-old child went missing at Malad after falling in an open gutter, once again the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s negligence has come to light as a 12-year-old child died after falling in a construction pit near a Coastal Road Project construction site. The incident happened on July 15, Saturday at Worli Seaface where the child was playing with his friends.

The child slipped into the construction pit while playing and was later taken to a hospital but the doctors were unable to save him. The victim has been identified as Bablu Kumar Paswan.

Meanwhile, so far, six people have died falling in uncovered pits or gutters in the past six days. However, the civic body has turned deaf towards the complaints and issues and have provided the people with nothing but false assurances.
