Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the decision to include 14 villages in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, giving relief to the citizens of 27 villages falling under the limits of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation. Announcing the decision to be taken in the upcoming cabinet regarding ban on unauthorised constructions in Ulhasnagar, the Chief Minister directed to expedite the process of allotting space for Sant Savalaram Memorial.


A detailed review meeting was held by the Chief Minister at Varsha Niwas in relation to 14 villages of Kalyan Dobivali, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai.

These 14 villages were earlier kept out of Navi Mumbai Municipality. After this they have again been included in Navi Mumbai. A decision has been taken to include 14 villages of Navi Mumbai in this. A big decision has also been taken regarding 27 villages. Kalyan-Dombivli MP said that the decision to impose tax like 2017 has been taken.

In this meeting, issues related to 27 villages, redevelopment within Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation, inclusion of 14 villages in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, regularisation of unauthorised constructions in Ulhasnagar, space for Sant Savlaram Memorial etc. were discussed in detail. Property tax cases were pending in 27 villages under Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation limits. The Chief Minister directed that tax should be imposed as per the 2017 rate.


The demand of the sons of soil to include 14 villages in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has been accepted and a notification in this regard has been issued. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that now development works will be carried out in these villages like Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
