Imagine a complete a 2-storey building collapsing and everyone in the family getting severely injured except for a month old baby. Miraculous as it may sound, but this is precisely what happened when a 2-storye house shattered and fell-off today on Tuesday at the Sai Dutt Society in the Sandesh Nagar area of the Kurla Bael Bazaar. As per the local residents, it has been quite a number of years that the house hasn’t undergone any maintenance works, hence it simply collapsed. But what’s more surprising is the fact that while six other members of the family Sunil Kadam (50), Seema Kadam (45), Rakhi Kadam (26), Jeetu Kadam (35), Sapna Kadam (16) and Sushila Kadam (70) got severely injured in the mishap, a month-old baby escape completely unhurt.
Besides, being quite close to the airport, the residents of this area were given a notice as well to vacate the place, in spite of which they did not leave the place.
