Mumbai Rains: 400 people rescued from Vasai’s Mithagar

Rains have been lashing the city for the last 24 hours due to which waterlogging incidents were reported at various places


400 people were trapped in Vasai’s Mithagar area on Monday morning due to a heavy rainfall and they have been rescued successfully.

Since Sunday night, the intensity of the rains has increased in the areas of Palghar, Vasai, Virar, and Nallasopara. Due to this, houses near Mithagar are flooded and it was becoming difficult for the concerned authorities to rescue the workers.

As per the information provided by the Palghar disaster management officer Vivekanand Kadam and Vasai’s tahsildar Kiran Survase, Vasai Municipal Corporation’s helping squad and revenue department’s workers had reached the site and rescued the workers using boats.
