On the day of Lalbaugcha Raja Visarjan (immersion) at Girgaon Chowpatty, a boat overturned and five people drowned. Out of five people, four were rescued but 5-year-old Saish Marde went missing. After six days, on Saturday morning, around 11:30 am, Saish’s dead body was found near the Rajbhavan area.

Marde family, who belonged to Palghar, had come to Girgaon Chowpatty to see the immersion of Lalbugcha Raja. On Monday morning, while the immersion was going on, Marde family- Saish, his father, mother, and 10-year-old sister- were on the boat. Suddenly, the boat overturned and the family fell into the water. Immediately, firefighters and police rescued all except Saish and were admitted to Nair Hospital.

Meanwhile, Saish's parents and his 10-year-old sister who was admitted to Nair Hospital thought he is also in the same hospital. Later, they found out that he was missing and all concerned agencies started looking for him. Finally, after six-days, his dead body was found on Saturday and was handed over to his parents.
