Mumbai is an amalgamation of seven islands and has a rich stretch of beaches to offer which are usually flooded with flocks of people. Mumbaikars are often seen enjoying the sight of the beautiful seacoast along with their families. On the other hand, in a recent attempt to add up to the beauty, Malad’s six beaches have been illuminated by LED lights.

The work of installation of LED lights at Malad West’s Aksa, Silver, Dana Pani, Erangal, Marve and Manori beaches was recently concluded. The purpose of the initiative was to ensure that people could enjoy being at the seacoasts even after sunset.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had taken up the beautification project of all the beaches that fall under its boundaries, and under the initiative, BMC had installed the LED lights at the beaches. All these beaches have 9-meter tall LED lamp posts and in total there are 198 lamp posts installed across the six beaches.
