Commissioner's Instructions

Pruning of overgrown branches of trees in the city is important and should be done regularly. The tree authority department should take a daily report of how many branches of trees have been cut in the city. Danger trees should be surveyed and care should be taken to avoid loss of life and money. The road should be cleared immediately at the place where the tree falls during the monsoon period. For this, coordination with the fire brigade should be done. Sufficient number of electric cutters and other necessary materials should be kept available. Care should also be taken to ensure that tree branches do not lie on the side of the road. Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has given orders in the meeting that if an emergency situation occurs in any part of the city during monsoon, the fire department should be alert to reach the incident site in minimum time with necessary equipment.

If more money is taken, action will be taken against the contractor

It is necessary to cut dangerous trees or branches in private housing complexes as well as in private places. It is the duty of the Municipal Corporation to see that private housing complex owners are not exploited in this work. Thus we have appointed a contractor for cutting the branches of trees, in this regard the concerned department should fix the rates and ensure that the contractor does not charge a single rupee more than the fixed rate. Also, Commissioner Bangar has ordered that if an excessive amount is charged through the contractor, he should be blacklisted immediately.
