Shiv Sena’s Youth Wing, Yuva Sena leader Aditya Thackeray is once again rooting for keeping establishments to remain open for the whole night in the city. He wrote to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking permission for the same.

He wants the establishments to remain open on the occasion of New Year not only in Mumbai but in Thane, Pune, Navi Mumbai, as well, especially in non-residential areas.

Thackeray believes that the move will generate more employment and revenue for the state. Aaditya Thackeray reminded about a proposal that has already been cleared by the Sena-ruled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in this regard and is now pending with the state home department headed by CM Fadnavis, for the final nod.

Thackeray said that the BMC first passed the proposal in 2013 and got it approved by the Police Commissioner in 2015 to let non-residential areas in Mumbai and other cities to remain open 24x7. He added that the proposal for Mumbai is waiting for CM’s approval.
