Goregaon - Adivasis living in unit 17 of Goregaon's Aarey Colony are a harried lot. The Force One, established in the aftermath of the 26/11 attacks to protect the city from terrorist attacks, has cast a pall on the lives of the tribals, who were used to a free life till now.
98 acres of land have been requisitioned in Aarey Colony for the exercise regimen of Force One. This has unknowingly or otherwise hampered the existence of these tribals. The region's deputy magistrate has asked for the documents from the residents of Chafechapada, Keltipada 1 and Keltipada 2 and state housing minister Ravindra Waikar has expressed his support for the rights of the tribals to their native land.
