With the help of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Internet of Things (IOTS), drones, computer vision, robotics, and predictive analytics, sustainable and scalable solutions will be implemented. This will help in taking forward the projects like Agristack, Maha-Agristack, Mahavedh, Cropsap, Agmarknet, Digital Shetishala, Maha-DBT in the state.
A three-tier administrative structure will implement this policy. For the first three years for the implementation of this policy, a fund of INR 500 crore will be provided. The AI sector is changing rapidly. Hence, necessary changes/amendments will be made in this policy in the next five years.

For this, the State Level Steering Committee, State Level Technical Committee, Artificial Intelligence and Agritech Innovation Center, Agricultural Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center will work under the Agricultural University.
Through this policy, a leading hub for artificial intelligence and innovation in the agriculture sector will be created in the state. The policy will enhance “farmer-centric use” of artificial intelligence technology, research, data exchange, support start-ups and is expected to make Maharashtra a leader in digital agriculture innovation.
