Ever since the establishment of the MAHAKALI ALM COMMITTEE (Trust) in 2000, the locals out here have tried their best to make this area completely garbage-free.  The MAHAKALI ALM COMMITTEE (Trust) was so formed as to make the most of the solid waste and create public awareness programs, as such was told by Ramesh Pai, the Secretary of THE MAHAKALI ALM COMMITTEE (Trust).

It is through the meticulous efforts of the MAHAKALI ALM COMMITTEE (Trust), that more than 300 plants have been planted.

This includes plants like copper pod, cesoda, Indian lamanam, karanj, bakul, trumpet, wild amla, okra, corn, jackal, kalasapati, dev chhaa, riddhash, bell.

This garden is so blooming because of the compost used in its soil that has been made from the waste that used to be dumped here.
