14 injured as lift crashes down at Mumbai's Kamala Mills compound

In a latest development, at least 14 people were injured after a lift crashed at Mumbai’s Kamala Mills compound on Wednesday morning, June 21

The incident took place at 10:50 am after a lift crashed from fourth floor of the C wing of the Trade World building at Kamala Mills, Senapati Bapat Marg in Lower Parel, stated Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).

As per preliminary information, passenger lift was fallen from 4th floor to ground floor of 01 basement. The building is a ground-plus 16-storey structure.

The injured have been identified as: Priyanka Chavan (26), Pratik Shinde (26), Amiat Shinde (25), Moh. Rashid (21), Priyanka Patil (28), Sudhir Sahare (29), Mayur Gore (28), Trupti Kubal (46), Kiran Vishvnath Chaukekar (48).

The injured were rescued by security personnel and eight of them were rushed to Global Hospital in Parel while 1 was sent to KEM. Four of the injured individuals sustained minor injuries and declined hospitalisation. Presently, all the injured patients are in stable condition.
